Responsible gaming

OUR COMMITMENT

redbet is always striving to be on the forefront of innovation when it comes to Responsible Gambling. We want you to enjoy your gambling experience with us and to always stay in control. And we’re committed to helping you get the support you need if you do run into difficulty. We work with our regulators and gambling charities to offer a wide range of support for customers who experience gambling difficulties and addictions.

Your redbet account has tools available to help you stay in control, but it’s important to recognise that we can’t assume all responsibility for exercising that control. Individual personal responsibility plays a large part in using the tools we offer, and if you’re worried you may intentionally avoid them we urge you to please seek advice from a specialist gambling charity.

What Safer Gambling tools are available and how do I use them?

All these options can be found under the section Settings > Limit Your Game

Our customer service staff receive dedicated training on dealing with problem gambling issues and are available to listen and to support you in keeping control. If you would like to talk to someone here about problem gambling please Contact Us.
There are also a number of independent problem gambling support services who offer a range of contact methods together with free and confidential advice.

RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING TIPS

We believe that gambling should always be an enjoyable leisure activity. Remembering these simple tips can help make sure your gambling doesn’t become a problem.

  1. Play because it’s fun – not to make money
There are hundreds, if not thousands of different games to enjoy. From huge blockbuster slot games, to simple and intimate blackjack tables. But sometimes the potential reward earned in game can outshine the fun, leading you to chase the win rather than enjoying the entertainment available. Gaming should never be used as a solution to any financial problems.Bet sensibly and never chase your losses.
  2. Stick to a budget
We’ve all heard it before – “Time flies when you’re having fun” and so too can your funds. So much so in fact, that you may feel you can’t tell your friends and loved ones how much you’re spending on gaming. Should you ever feel this way, it can be a strong indication you’re gaming too much. So set a budget, stick to it and never play for more than you can safely afford.
  3. Limits are your friends
Why leave your gaming finances to chance? We’ve all been there, getting a little too carried away and playing more than you originally intended. redbet has made it easy to remain in control with useful, built-in tools that will help you to set deposit and loss limits so you can maximise your fun, and minimise your frustration.
  4. Set your alarm
How many times have you forgotten to do something because you were so engaged in that latest boxset, or a thrilling round of blackjack? It happens. redbet recommends setting an alarm, that’s right, an alarm just like waking up in the morning. It’s a simple trick to relax, enjoy your gaming and know when to call it a day.
  5. It’s a marathon, not a sprint
Losing is as much a part of gaming as winning, and if you’re losing, the overriding temptation is to continue gaming to win back any losses. Don’t! Take a break, clear your head and make use of redbet’s gaming limits to stop it from happening in the first place.
  6. The only mood, is a good mood
Thrilling. Exciting. Enjoyable. Marvellous! That’s how we hope you feel when playing at redbet, but gaming when you’re feeling depressed or upset can, and will affect your decision making. Taking a risk you may not normally take or feeling constantly distracted leading to mistaken decisions. Only play when you’re clear headed and able to concentrate 100%.
  7. Don’t play under the influence of substances
Alcohol and drugs will cloud your judgement and inhibit your rational decision making. Never play under the influence. Only play when you are clear headed and able to concentrate 100%.

LIMIT YOUR GAME

If you think you have a serious gambling problem you should take the necessary steps to temporarily suspend or exclude your account until you resolve your issues. Should you not wish to suspend or exclude your account but just better control your gaming times and spending you may choose to place limits on your deposits, losses, turnover or session times. You can set your own limits and determine how much you can play.

We provide tools that will allow you to limit your game in different ways. For your benefit you will not be allowed to remove any restrictions placed on your account or bets until a minimum period of seven days has elapsed from when you created the limitation. Increase in restrictions will be effected immediately.

Set up a limit or request a suspension or exclusion.
